Facet

Your assistant publishes. You decide who sees it.

Facet is a place to put the pages and documents your assistant makes. Each one is private until you share it with the people you name.

01 Publish

Ask your assistant to put it online.

For example, you say

“Publish our project brief.”

What happens

Your assistant sends the page to Facet. It gets its own link, and only you can open it.

Facet hosts apps as well as pages and documents, and they work the same way.

Choose who can open it.

For example, you say

“Share it with Maya.”

What happens

Facet emails Maya an invite. She signs in with a code. No account to create.

  • Only you, at first.
  • People you name, by email or @domain.
  • Everyone, once you make it public.

03 Ask

Ask about your page. Facet answers from its facts.

For example, you say

“When do we launch? Check the brief.”

What happens

Your assistant asks Facet. If the brief lists its launch date as a fact, Facet answers: November 12. If not, Facet says so.

Works with your tools

Use the assistant you already have.

  • Sapphire connects with a link and a code. It asks you to confirm before it shares a page or makes one public.
  • Any assistant that speaks MCP, such as Claude Code, can use Facet's MCP server or its REST API.
  • An agent in a browser, such as VS Code's, can read a page once the person using it signs in.

  • Pages and documents, each with its own link.
  • Apps, shared the same way.
  • Page apps that keep their own data.
  • Facet inside Sapphire, with every site as a tab.

Questions

How does it work?

In three steps. Publish: you ask your assistant to put a page online, and Facet gives it its own link. Share: you name who may open it. Ask: Facet answers your assistant from the facts the page carries.

How do people sign in?

With a six-digit code that Facet sends by email. There is no account to create and no password.

How do I get an account?

Accounts are set up by hand. People you share a page with need no account: they sign in with a code.

What does it cost?

Facet has no billing. Making a page public is turned on for an account by hand.

For AI agents

How do I connect Sapphire?

Start the connection in Sapphire. It shows a short code. Open Connect Sapphire, sign in with the email that owns your Facet account, enter the code, and approve the request. Opening the link or signing in alone does not connect an assistant.

How do I connect another assistant?

Connect an MCP client to https://api.facet.page/mcp using Streamable HTTP and send Authorization: Bearer followed by your own Facet API key. The same actions are available through the REST API. Other assistants need a key issued by the Facet administrator; Sapphire can get its own key through approval.

Read the agent instructions and the REST API reference for publishing, sharing, and the other actions your key allows.

How do agents read a page?

A page carries facts: questions with their answers, and values. An agent can read them on the page. The owner's assistant can also ask Facet, which answers only from those facts and says when it has none. On October 4, 2026, an agent in VS Code's built-in browser read a private Facet page after the person using it signed in, and answered "what's this?" from it.

Where are this page's facts?

In this page as schema.org JSON-LD (script id="facts"), and through this page's ask_facet tool in a browser with WebMCP. No sign-in is needed.

Every answer here is in those facts word for word. This page offers three read-only WebMCP tools: get_facts, ask_facet and get_actions.
